Night vision

Colour is half the evidence

An infrared camera illuminates, but it erases colour. At two in the morning the report reads «a dark vehicle» and «a person in a light jacket»: two phrases that identify nobody.

DigiAccess cameras deliver full colour imaging in dark areas, using the lighting already present on site. The colour of the clothing, the car and the plate is preserved all night.

Video analytics

Three analytics, all with whitelist and blacklist

The analysis runs inside the camera, not on a separate server. That means the alert goes out at the moment, not when someone sits down to review the recording the next day.

Facial recognition

The camera compares every face against its lists. The whitelist is the known people —residents, employees— and they pass without noise. The blacklist is the flagged people: the moment they appear, the alert fires.

It is the same identity that opens the door in access control.

Plate capture

It reads the plate of every vehicle passing and checks it against the lists. Authorized plates open the barrier; a blacklisted plate raises an alert even if it never tried to enter.

It feeds the vehicle gatehouse directly.

Fire detection

The camera recognizes flame and smoke in the scene and warns the moment they appear, without waiting for heat to reach a ceiling detector.

Useful in parking areas, warehouses, plant rooms and zones with no fire detection installed.

Lists

White and black: the difference between recording and watching

Ordinary CCTV records everything alike and leaves the job of finding something for later. With lists, the camera already knows who it is looking for.

  • Whitelist — those who should be there. They pass without raising an alert.
  • Blacklist — flagged people or plates. Immediate alert on appearance.
  • No match — logged as an unknown visitor, for review.

The lists are managed from the same system as the access authorizations: remove a person once and they stop opening the door and go under watch on the cameras.

The hardware

The camera talks, listens and takes half the space

Beyond the SuperStarlight sensor and the on-board analytics, the camera carries a microphone and a speaker: the operator hears what is happening in the scene and can answer by voice without sending anyone. On a perimeter or in a parking area, a timely warning prevents most incidents.

And it compresses in H.265, which takes about half the space of the previous standard at the same quality. That is the direct counterweight to the resolution argument: you can go to 8 or 12 MP without doubling the disk.

The VS line comes in several series and versions: form factor —bullet, dome, tube—, resolution and the analytics set all change. The sizing defines which one belongs at each point.

Resolution

From 5 to 12 megapixels, over IP

More megapixels is not always better: it is more detail, but also more storage and more bandwidth. Resolution is chosen per point, according to what has to be recognized.

They are all IP cameras: they run over the site's data network, not coaxial cable. That allows placing them where they are needed without laying a parallel cabling system.

ONVIF certified

Open interoperability standard: the cameras integrate with third-party recorders and video platforms. Expanding the system later does not force replacing what is installed or staying with a single vendor.

FCC certified

Compliance with the electromagnetic emission limits of the United States Federal Communications Commission: the equipment does not interfere with the networks or the other electronic systems on site.

Integration

The camera that watches is the one that opens

Having CCTV and access control from the same vendor is not just invoice convenience: it is that both share the lists.

  • The face authorized at the door is on the whitelist in the cameras
  • The plate that opens the barrier is the one the gatehouse camera captures
  • Removing someone drops their access and puts them under watch at once
  • The access event and the video of that moment are linked

Application engineering

Every project is sized on the site plan: location of each camera, what is covered, at what resolution and which analytics run at each point.

Actual coverage and the storage calculation are approved before the purchase order is issued.
